What's a Sunday, without being lazy and crazy. Sunday, at home, is a day dedicated for deep cleaning of the house. With, otherwise busy week days and pets at home, Sunday is the only day left to clean those corners of the house and go on a treasure hunt, to find hair bands, flowers from the potpourri, utensils scrub pads and what not, under the furniture, which are beyond human reach. This is the accumulated trove, kept for us to find out, by our cats. So keeping this amount of cleaning, cooking breakfast is just out of question. Keeping our sanity in mind, the day starts with a bowl of Muesli and milk.
While, we have cleaning as a priority, Sunday is also the only day left to satiate my culinary skills. Having a detailed brunch is the next thing that we look forward to. While I am cooking the meal, the watch list of the latest movies or series is ready by my partner in life and also all the crimes, to watch along with the food.
I have put together five of the brunch recipes that we cook often with certain variations and changing the sides. The recipes are just perfect and easy to make at home, if you plan to host a brunch get together as well.
1. Baby Corn Manchurian

A simple and easy recipe to cook for a brunch. The only ingredient to keep in mind while making this recipe is the availability of the fresh Baby Corns. The rest of the ingredients are generally available, in your kitchen.
Cooking on a Sunday for your family brunch, need not be elaborate. I am always on a hunt to look for quick recipes, that take less time, and gives me the luxury for some utmost craved "Me Time" and also some family time.
2. Hakka Noodles

As appetizing as it sounds, it tastes amazing too. Making noodles, is generally perceived, to be a time taking and tiring process. But it can be simplified, if you plan the sides well and do the chopping accordingly. I usually pair this recipe with a Manchurian, and keep the basic vegetables and ingredients common, to ease to out the process.
3. Citrus Fruit Punch

This is a very interesting drink to include in your brunching. The flavor of the citrus and the pomelo are refreshing, and make a very comfortable and soothing drink to complete your meal.
4. Masala Omlette

This is my last resort, when I do not feel like cooking at all. To be honest, it is perfectly Ok to not feel like doing or cooking anything on specific days. But, don't forget to keep yourself sane, for your general well being. Eggs are a rich source of protein and an instant energy booster.
Pair the Omlette with toasted bread and and a cup of coffee. And Relax.
Read the book, that sits on your bookshelf, waiting to be read.
5. Citrus Pan Cakes

No Nonsense. No spending long hours on cooking. The reason I love this recipe is because, I can have my fruits, along with my food, which otherwise, take a backseat and often forgotten.
Nothing beats the fresh taste of fruits in your food. Try this recipe during winters, with freshly juiced Oranges, and indulge yourself in a divine Sunday Brunch. You can make variations to this recipe using strawberries and bananas too.
