Freshly grated coconut, cooked with Khoya and Jaggery, rolled into round balls of sheer happiness. A simple and perfect recipe to kick in the festive mood.


RECIPE


Servings: 10

Preparation Time: 15 Mins


Ingredients:

  1. 500 Gms freshly grated/scraped coconut

  2. 100 Gms Khoya

  3. 6-7 tbsp. liquid jaggery (you can also use 4-5 tbsp. of ground jaggery)

  4. 1 tbsp. Ghee for cooking


Steps:


Step 1: In a pan, add ghee. On a medium high flame, roast the coconut until it leaves a fragrance.

Step 2: Add the Khoya and the jaggery and fry for 1 minute on high flame. Switch off the flame.

Step 3: When the mixture has slightly cooled down, apply a little water on your palms and make round balls, using the mixture. The mixture has to be slightly warm, in order to hold the shape.


Serve cold. The laddoos can be stored and relished for a week without refrigeration.
